Welcome to Digby Place

Digby Place provides thoughtful, compassionate care in a warm Assisted Living community. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident. Onsite caregivers and our Director of Health are available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care.

We offer a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, bingo, exercise classes, educational seminars, card and board games to help our residents flourish. We enjoy outings to the local senior center, shopping and dining. We strive to offer exceptional Assisted Living in Lafayette, to ensure our residents have the care and attention they deserve.

When my husband didn't wake up one morning, it was a quick decision for me and my daughter to find some place for me, as my husband helped me do everything. When your knees don't work very well, then you become very dependent on help all day long. My daughter brought me here and it has been just perfect. From early morning until bedtime, I get help for everything. I have a power chair that moves me from one place to another, but I find that often isn't enough. So the fact all the people at Digby Place have been so helpful has been a big blessing for me

Why do I love Digby Place? Let me count the ways (with apologies to Robert Browning). First: The people, from top to bottom. Caring, sharing of their time, affectionate, and always available for whatever I think I need, from changing a light bulb to giving hugs on downer days. Second: They have taken the time and interest to get to know ME; the sometimes cynical, mouthy, obnoxious individual I can be, and give back to me what I dish out with a good sense of humor. I love it! Third: The facility itself. It's beautiful, beautifully kept up, it smells good, it's always open to family and visitors. They even allow me to trim the small evergreens out front. Fourth: The sense of freedom and privacy I have here. I am free to go out with people and I can occupy my time as I wish, play bridge on my computer, play the piano, read whatever I want, work whenever I choose to, or just nap. I love my new home.

I have known since I was 5 years old I wanted to work with elderly people. For the last year I have been working at Bell Oaks Place. The atmosphere has healthcare needs and independent living and the residents are able to have peace of mind knowing there is a licensed nurse, cook, housekeeper and activities.
